Legal questions: how to handle themThere are so many things that can happen to an individual, a family or a business these days that leaves many people with lots of legal questions. To get answers to those legal questions, one must contact an attorney and most likely pay a fee for having spoken to them. The answers may end up being simple or very complicated and evolve from legal questions to legal action. Though it may end up costing a little bit, it is best to seek advice for those legal questions from professionals who are qualified to be giving you solutions. My husband and I are small business owners. We have a wonderful attorney for our company that has done a remarkable job of answering all of our legal questions. Of course, we've gotten some bills that accompany those answers but in most instances it was well worth it. Never be afraid of speaking up and asking those legal questions. I have done my share of asking some of the most bizarre questions that I was certain my attorney would laugh at. However, she always conducted herself very professionally and told me that I was not the first one to be asking those things. She also puts everything in simple and easy to understand terms that make me feel much more confident and comfortable. I believe that if we shopped around we could find someone who is not as expensive, but we are very content with her. She knows our business very well and has come to be not only our legal advisor, but a friend. It never hurts to have an attorney on your side. If you have a friend or family member who is an attorney then you may get lucky and receive free answers to your legal questions. I have not been that lucky thus far. In working with our attorney for as many years as we have been, I have gotten away with asking more legal questions than she probably would have liked and have not always gotten billed for the conversation. Whether it simply be a legal question about your rights or a question of a lawsuit, consult an attorney before attempting to answer your own questions. You may be able to do some research on whatever topic you are asking about, but make certain that if it is a critical issue, that you have all of the proper information. Direct your legal questions toward an attorney that you trust. If you do not have an attorney, ask around. Get some friends to refer you to one that they trust or work with. Don't let those legal questions go unanswered. Other resources
