What's a will and how to make it ?

A will or a testament is a uni-lateral contract that contains the last wishes of a person that dies.

It's important to write your will because like this, in case of death, everything that you own will pass to the persons you want. In case you don't have any relatives such as children, wife/husband, parents, etc you risk loosing your properties in the favor of the state when you die if you don't have a will written.

A will is a unilateral contract and it can be changed as many times as you want to. The last will you write is always the valid one. During your lifetime you can write as many wills you want, even thousands if you want to. As long as you make sure that the last one you write is indeed your last wish because this is the one that will be applied.

Legally, a will should be written by your own hand, dated and signed by you. The date and the signature are very important. You shouldn't write the will on the computer and sign the document with your full name: it must be signed by your own hand and with your own signature. In case after your death, someone will try to dispute the legacy of your will, your signature will be a living proof for this.

The will should contain last wishes about properties that you own. In case you also write about thing that you don't own, they won't be considered.

The will should be written very clear, with simple and clear details regarding the persons you are leaving your properties to. Confusing details won't be considered.

Persons with mental problems should have a lawyer standing near them when writing the will so he can guarantee for their decisions. If not, the will can be disputed for physical problems.

Also, the will shouldn't be hidden in secret places because you risk a lot: you might never be found and everybody will consider you had no will at all. So it's best to give it to a lawyer to keep it.
