Everything about divorce The divorce is the ending of a marriage, which can be contrasted with an annulment which is a declaration that a marriage is void, though the effects of marriage may be recognized in such unions, such as spousal support, child custody and distribution of property. To obtain a divorce there must be certain reasons that the court or the judge accepts as being indeed important reasons for asking the divorce.(for example the violence, the bad influence over the children, a very important sickness, etc). The financial implications of divorce and separation are probably the most serious aspect of divorce. Often the party who is caring for the children will either not be working or will have to seriously consider their options if they are in work. This will directly impact on what their needs and long term goals are for the future. The party without the children is more often than not going to be liable for some form of maintenance for the children and perhaps for their spouse. This will again impact on their future, both financially and emotionally, in terms of new partners. Another important impact is the one on children which is often underestimated. Most of the cases all the children go with one parent but there are cases when the children are separated between the parents or even none of the parents take them because they are not considered responsible enough for taking care of them. Most of the cases, the judge asks for the children to say their opinion about which parent they want to live with. The most important thing that must be known about divorce is that it's something good to avoid because it has very important impacts on the children and on the financial aspect of each person. That's why all the judges first recommend reconciliation. |
